Juventus fall 1–0 to Real Madrid at the Bernabéu, but leave the Spanish capital with a decent performance.

The decisive moment came in the 58th minute. Vinícius Jr. drove into the box and struck low across goal, his effort rebounding off the post into the path of Jude Bellingham, who converted from close range to give Madrid the lead.

Tudor’s Juve arrived in Madrid under intense pressure and scrutiny, without a win in the competition. The opening minutes, however, pose numerous threats with Dusan Vlahović and McKennie, forcing Cortois’ early involvement. The way they exploited the space on the counter within the opening 20′ was impressive.

Juve’s fears came true, as allowing Real Madrid time to settle into the match tilted the momentum in favour of los blancos. The end-to-end action slowed as both sides looked to break down each other’s defences.

The breakthrough arrived early in the second half. A loose ball following a Vinicius Jr attempt at goal is met by Bellingham, who is quickest to react, finishing it off from close range.

A simple goal, but decisive as the Englishman poaches it.

Juventus responded well. They didn’t lose their composure and stayed a constant threat, never quite managing to produce the final ball.

At the other end, Michele Di Gregorio ensured the margin remained narrow. A few decisive saves and an impressive overall performance meant Juve stayed within striking distance for the entire game.

In the closing moments, newly substituted Loïs Openda slipped in a key position, a fraction away from a late equaliser.

It was the final moment of a game that never fully opened.

A narrow win.
A tactical match.
And ultimately, a win sealed in a single moment.
